Enjoy your patio, lawn, or garden without worrying about the safety of your children or pets with Mosquito Magician, our natural and non-toxic mosquito repellent. Mosquito Magician is a cutting-edge, natural pest control product that has been laboratory tested and is proven to be extremely effective at both killing and repelling mosquitoes.

A Natural Mosquito Repellent

At Mosquito Magician, we genuinely wanted to develop the most effective mosquito repellent—bar none. We also strongly felt that it had to be a natural product: We have kids and pets, and we care about our health and that of the environment, too.

We started by researching all of the natural mosquito repellents available on the market today.

Here’s what we found:

A lot of “snake oil” and wild claims that were, unsurprisingly, false.

So, we got to work and boiled it down to 6 essential oils.

The Essentials of a Natural Mosquito Spray that Kills Mosquitoes

Using essential oils for mosquito repellent is not new. People have been using individual oils like garlic and citronella for thousands of years to naturally combat mosquitoes. What’s new is our unique blend of six separate essential oils that each have repellent properties and, together, create a potent recipe.

They are:

  • Cedar
  • Citronella
  • Lemongrass
  • Garlic
  • Geraniol
  • Rosemary

We then added propriety inert ingredients that enhance the properties of the oils and allow them to be applied in a very fine spray to greatly increase the efficacy.

The result?

A super effective, natural mosquito repellent that contains no DEET or other chemical pesticides.

Formulating the Best Natural Mosquito Repellent

Our goal was to create the best mosquito repellent available that would also be safe for our families and the environment—with no compromises.

Here’s how we did it:

We employed organic chemists to create the ideal formula, without any compromises. And each time we made a pest control, we sent samples to independent laboratories to test on actual mosquitoes, carefully recording the kill and repellency rates.

We used the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the mosquito that carries the Zika virus as well as malaria, dengue fever, West Nile, and Chikungunya viruses, in our testing.

The end result is a blend that consistently delivers a high mosquito kill rate, as well as repellency that lasts for up to 2 weeks.

A Powerful, Natural Mosquito Spray Concentrate

Mosquito Magician concentrate active ingredients, including Lemongass Oil, Garlic Oil, Citronella Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Rosemary Oil, and Geraniol.

It’s important to use an effective mosquito spray because these pests are more than just an annoyance—they spread dangerous diseases to more than 700 million people worldwide each year.

And while some other mosquito sprays on the market are watered down, Mosquito Magician is a true concentrate. Just look at the percentage of active ingredients — our product has 13%, while some of our competitors’ products contain less than 1%!

  • Lemongrass Oil 2.66%
  • Garlic Oil 2.00%
  • Citronella Oil 2.66%
  • Rosemary Oil 1.00%
  • Gernaiol 2.00%
  • Total: 13.32%

One gallon of Mosquito Magician concentrate will treat 128,000 square feet—safely and effectively.

Can’t I Just Use a Mosquito Repellent Spray with DEET?

DEET is a key ingredient in many mosquito misting systems, but because it has demonstrated toxic properties, we did not include it in our Mosquito Magician formula.

We wanted to create a natural mosquito repellent that is effective but completely safe for the environment, families, and pets.

In the late 1980s, scientists conducted a study on employees of Everglades National Park in Florida to determine whether DEET produced any negative effects. A full 25% of the subjects reported experiencing negative health effects, including skin irritation, numb or burning lips, nausea, headache, dizziness, and difficulty concentrating.

And laboratory tests on rats at Duke University found that frequent, prolonged exposure to DEET led to diffuse brain cell death and behavioral changes.

Something else to consider:

Mosquitoes will bite skin only four centimeters from where repellent (even those containing DEET) has been applied. That’s why it’s better to treat the entire property with a mosquito repellant to keep the blood-sucking insects far away from your family.

Besides, does N,N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide sound like something you want to put directly on your—or your child’s—skin?

What About an Electric Mosquito Repellent Device?

Many of us are familiar with the traditional bug zappers, with their bright violet light and unmistakable snap! sound. Why not just use one of those?

Put simply:

They attract and kill many friendly and beneficial insects —like fireflies and beetles—while mosquitoes largely ignore them. A study from the University of Delaware looked at six bug zappers on residential property for 10 weeks. The results? Out of 13,789 insects that were killed by the bug zappers, only 31 were biting flies. That’s a whopping 0.22%, making bug zappers essentially worthless for reducing biting flies like mosquitoes.

New, ultrasonic mosquito-repellent devices supposedly emit sounds that irritate the pests, but in recent studies, they have shown to be ineffective. In 2016, the Attorney General of New York issued cease and desist letters to companies touting ultrasonic devices as effective pest control.

How to Naturally Get Rid of Mosquitoes with Mosquito Magician

Our natural mosquito-control product gets rid of mosquitoes in three ways:

  • Kills adult mosquitoes on contact
  • Suffocates mosquito larvae in standing water (where they breed)
  • Repels mosquitoes away from your property for up to 2 weeks

You can apply Mosquito Magician with a hose attachment, backpack sprayer, or hooking our Sprinkler Magician machine up to your property’s existing irrigation system.

Mosquito Magician creates a natural bubble around your property that is safe for you and your pets but is extremely unfriendly toward mosquitoes and other targeted pests.
